Four steps
Load the jar.
Greens and leaves on the bottom, frozen fruit and ice on top.

Three things change in the glass.
Less foam
Foam is whipped-in air. Take the air away and there is nothing to whip. You pour a full glass instead of half a glass and a head of bubbles. Whey protein, which foams worse than any fruit, pours like milk.
The color holds
Browning needs oxygen. Pull most of it out before the blades spin and the oxidation reaction barely gets started. In the test below, the glass blended with air is the one fading.
It holds together
Separation is air leaving the drink. Bubbles rise and drag the pulp up with them, which is how a smoothie ends up with foam on top and water at the bottom. Blend without the air and there is nothing to rise. In the test below, the VOID glass is still one drink at the twenty-minute mark.
Why it works
All three trace back to the same thing. Foam is air folded into the drink. Browning is an enzyme reacting with oxygen. Separation starts when bubbles rise and carry pulp up with them. Take the air out of the jar before the blades start and you have removed what all three of them depend on.

It brings a VOID jar that seats on the base you already own.
That covers the 5000, Super 5000, 5200, 5300, 6300, 6500, 7500, 780, Pro 300, Pro 750, CIA, TurboBlend, and the Explorian E310, E320 and E520. Some bases need a small trim to the VOID adapter gasket before it seals. Trimming it does not affect your VOID warranty, and if it still does not fit after that, the return is free on U.S. orders. If you would rather have a dedicated setup, the Complete System brings its own base and jar.

Who makes it
Blenders run in the family
Conner Dickson's grandfather founded Blendtec, so Conner grew up around jars, blades, and motors. When the family saw what pulling the air out of a blend could do, he designed the VOID lid himself, down to the circuit board. He runs VOID with his wife, Autumn.
Common questions
How does it charge?
Every lid ships with a magnetic wireless charger, a magnetic USB-A cable that plugs into a port rated 750mA or higher, and a USB-A to USB-C adapter. A charge lasts most users at least a month of daily use. The battery is rated for thousands of charges. If it fails inside the three-year warranty, it is handled as a warranty repair on the terms set out on our warranty page.
What if it does not fit my blender?
Use the finder above and pick the blender you own. If it points you at the Complete System, that is because the Complete System brings its own base and jar, so it works whatever is on your counter. If you order and it does not fit your machine, the return is free on U.S. orders.
How do I clean it, and how do I look after it?
Neither the lid nor a VOID jar goes in the dishwasher. Rinse the lid under running water with a little dish soap, but do not submerge it, and keep the wireless charger away from water. Take the gasket off to clean underneath it.
Do not refrigerate or freeze the lid, and do not pour boiling water into it.
What is the warranty, and what if I want to send it back?
Three years on vacuum lids, five years on blender bases, one year on jars. The warranty page sets out what a repair costs and when. Separately, you have thirty days from purchase to return or exchange it on U.S. orders. On a change of mind return you cover the return shipping, and it needs to be sent back within 7 business days or a 10% fee applies. If you are returning it because it does not fit your blender, that return is free. We cannot accept returns on orders shipped outside the United States, though the warranty still applies to those orders.
