FAQ

Will it fit my blender?

Pick what you own. We may ask one more thing, then we tell you which one to order.

What blender do you have?
Lift the jar off and look at the top of the base.
Where are you ordering from?

The lid fits your Blendtec.

It goes straight onto a jar you already have, so there is nothing else to buy.

WildSide+, WildSide and Fourside jars all work, and so does the Professional 800 with its sound enclosure in place. If you would rather have a dedicated setup, the Complete System brings its own base and jar.

The lid will not fit those jars, but the Complete System will.

The lid seals against Blendtec and VOID jars, so it does not fit a Ninja or a KitchenAid. The Complete System comes with its own motor base and jar, so it works on your counter without using your blender at all.

Send us a photo and we will tell you straight.

Email us a picture of your blender and we will say plainly whether the lid works with it, before you order anything.

If you would rather not wait, the Complete System comes with its own base and jar and works in any kitchen.

The Retrofit Kit fits your base.

It brings a VOID jar that seats on the base you already own.

That covers the 5000, Super 5000, 5200, 5300, 6300, 6500, 7500, 780, Pro 300, Pro 750, CIA, TurboBlend, and the Explorian E310, E320 and E520. Some bases need a small trim to the VOID adapter gasket before it seals. Trimming it does not affect your VOID warranty, and if it still does not fit after that, the return is free on U.S. orders. If you would rather have a dedicated setup, the Complete System brings its own base and jar.

Those bases need the Complete System.

A smooth top with no rubber pad is a Self-Detect base, and the Retrofit Kit does not fit it. The Complete System comes with its own motor base and jar, so you can run it without touching your Vitamix.

This covers the Ascent A2300, A2500, A3300 and A3500, and the Venturist.

Send us a photo of the base and we will tell you.

Email us a picture looking down at the top of the base, where the jar sits. We will tell you which one you need before you order anything.

The short version: a grooved black rubber pad takes the Retrofit Kit. A smooth top with no pad, which is the Ascent or the Venturist, takes the Complete System.

We do not ship outside the United States from this site yet.

First pick your blender above: the lid and the Retrofit Kit fit the same blenders wherever you are, and they charge from any USB port, so voltage is not the issue. Delivery is. Email us your country and your blender and we will tell you the current options.

There is a 220 volt Complete System with a standard EU round plug. Please email us before ordering it so we can confirm delivery to your address. Orders shipped outside the United States cannot be returned, though the warranty still applies and we will repair it.

Other common questions

Will it fit a blender that is not in the finder?

Email CS@voidvac.com with your blender model, or a photo of the top of the base, and we will check it before you order. The quick test for a Vitamix: if the base has a black rubber pad with grooves, the Retrofit Kit fits it; the smooth Self-Detect bases do not take it. The Propel 510, Propel 750 and Alta Pro are not confirmed yet, so ask us first. If the finder points you at the Complete System, that is because it brings its own base and jar and works whatever is on your counter.

On U.S. orders, if it does not fit your machine, the return is free. On some bases the VOID adapter gasket we provide needs light trimming before the jar seats. Trimming it does not affect your VOID warranty, and if you damage it while trimming we will send a free replacement.

What comes in the box?

The VOID Lid for Blendtec jars comes with the lid, a silicone sealing gasket, a magnetic wireless charger, a magnetic USB-A cable, a USB-A to USB-C adapter, and the user manual. There is no jar in the box, so you use a Blendtec jar you already own.

The Retrofit Kit for classic Vitamix bases comes with everything above, plus a VOID jar that fits a Vitamix base, a Vitamix adapter gasket, a tamper, and a basic hard lid with its own gasket and removable vent.

The Complete System comes with everything in the lid box, plus a blender base with a US power cord, a VOID jar, a tamper, a basic hard lid with gasket and vent, and a removable baseplate gasket.

Every VOID jar is BPA-free Eastman Tritan.

How does it charge?

Every lid ships with a magnetic wireless charger, a magnetic USB-A cable that plugs into a port rated 750mA or higher, and a USB-A to USB-C adapter. A charge lasts most users at least a month of daily use. The lid cannot be operated while it is charging, so take it off the charger before you assume anything is wrong with it.

Do I turn the lid off before blending?

Yes. Let the lid pump down, then switch it off before you start the blender. The seal holds on its own once the air is out. If the lid is still running while the blender is going, food and liquid can be pulled up into it.

How do I get the lid off after blending?

Pull the red tab to let the air back in. Until it is vented the lid stays sealed shut, which is also how you know the vacuum held. Do not force it, because forcing the lid against a vacuum is what wears a gasket out.

How do I clean it, and how do I look after it?

Neither the lid nor a VOID jar goes in the dishwasher. Rinse the lid under running water with a little dish soap, but do not submerge it, and keep the wireless charger away from water. Take the gasket off to clean underneath it. The gasket on its own can go in the dishwasher.

Do not refrigerate or freeze the lid, and do not pour boiling water into it.

What is the warranty, and what if I want to send it back?

Three years on vacuum lids, five years on blender bases, one year on jars. You have 30 days from the date of purchase to return it, exchange it, or have it repaired at no charge. After the first 30 days, lid repairs are free through the first year and $50 from one to three years. Base repairs are free through two years and $75 from two to five years. Jar repairs are free through the first year.

On a change of mind return you cover the shipping back to us, it has to be on its way within 7 business days or a 10% fee applies, and we need the receipt showing the purchase date. If you are returning it because it does not fit your blender, that return is free. We cannot accept returns on orders shipped outside the United States, though the warranty still applies to those orders.

Can I buy VOID outside the United States?

In the UK our distributor Luba Distribution sells the lid and a compatible Vitamix jar under the Madalga name. If you have a Blendtec, the vacuum lid works on a WildSide+, WildSide or Fourside jar on its own. If you have a Vitamix that is not an Ascent or Venturist, you also need the jar the distributor sells for it.

Anything you buy from the distributor is covered by their terms, including returns, so ask them before you order. If you order from us and we ship it outside the United States we cannot accept a return. The warranty still applies and we will repair it, but you would cover the shipping both ways.
